I believe massage therapy is a gateway to helping us learn more about and take better care of our bodies and minds.  During a massage, we acknowledge the ways in which the activities of our days influence the ways our bodies feel, how we move, and how we can nurture our own well-being. 

I studied at the Center for Massage and Natural Health in Asheville, NC.  I still do!  They are a great school with great teachers and a great downtown campus in Asheville, NC.  It's a wonderful learning environment that I return to in order to keep my practice fresh.  Check 'em out!

I like all things dance-y and moving, bicycling around the countryside or just to the corner store.  I like to make things from scratch like dinner and saurkraut and hats and scarves and skirts and toys and such.  I spend evenings creating arty journals and playing music.  I like to garden and/or shop the market and cook yummy and nutritive meals.  I work hard to travel well.  I enjoy living simply and finding ways to do that in our hurry-up-and-get-a-new-one kind of world.  I talk and photo all about these things in my blog.

I have studied Thai massage since 2007.  Having taken many classes in Asheville, in 2013 and 2018 I traveled to Thailand to work with my teacher's teacher, Pichest Boonthumme.  It is a rewarding and unique experience I hope to have the opportunity to do again and again! Thai Masasage combines my love of dance with massage, so if you haven't tried it yet, please sign up! Very different, yet as magical as a table massage.
